Two vintage wooden dining chairs from Poland and Germany, produced respectively by Cepelia Kraków and a German maker, in pine with brown and yellow finishes, in mid‑century modern style dating to 1970–1980, and in average condition.
Description from the seller
Two vintage chairs – Poland and Germany, 1960s/70s.
The set consists of two original, antique wooden chairs from Central Europe. Although made by different manufacturers (one in Poland, the other in Germany), they complement each other perfectly, creating a harmonious and authentic composition, ideal for interiors in a Mediterranean style.
The lighter chair was made in Poland by the Spółdzielnia Rzemiosła Ludowego i Artystycznego “Cepelia” in Kraków, as evidenced by the original manufacturer label that has remained intact. Its distinctive backrest with a carved heart motif nods to traditional craftsmanship and rustic furniture from Southern Europe.
The darker chair was made in Germany and represents the minimalist design of the 60s/70s. Its simple and elegant form, along with a subtly contoured back, perfectly complements the aesthetics of Mediterranean, rustic and Provençal interiors.
Despite their different origins, both models share a natural character, timeless simplicity and the warmth of wood. This set looks exceptionally elegant next to a wooden table in a kitchen, dining room, holiday home or restaurant styled in a Mediterranean, Tuscan or rustic manner.
Condition: Very good, considering age. The chairs are solid, ready to use and retain their original character.
This is an interesting set for collectors of European vintage design and for people seeking authentic furniture with character that will perfectly complement Mediterranean, rustic, country and Provençal styles.
Sold as a set of two pieces.
