Antique Art Nouveau vase made of iridescent glass in a metal mount, made around 1900. The body of the vase is made of blown glass with an iridescent surface. The glass is set in a signed decorative metal frame. ). The frame is typical Art Nouveau style - a stylized floristic motif with leaves and berries in the upper part. This is the work of one of the two leading Šumava glassworks that specialized in this style: Johann Lötz Witwe (Klášterský Mlýn) - the most famous glassworks of that time, world-famous for its iridescent glass of the highest quality. Wilhelm Kralik Söhne (Lenora) - a significant competitor of the Lötz glassworks, which produced very similar in design, high-quality pieces with metal mounts. Metal mount marked MH20 - manufacturer Moritz Hacker, Viennese manufacturer of silver-plated metal mounts mainly for the Johann Lötz Witwe glassworks. The number "20" means the thickness or weight of the silver applied to the metal mounting. Glass and metal mounting undamaged. Height: 23 cm
