A striking, large-format painting with several stylized faces or masks in earthy tones. Bold impasto brushwork with a highly textured surface, possibly with admixtures of sand or mineral pigments. The composition is typical of modern West African painting from the 1960s and 1970s.

According to family tradition, the painting was acquired in Africa in the 1970s and brought to Germany. On the frame there is the handwritten note “EBRIN ADINGRA,” which points to the Ivorian artist Georges Ebrin Adingra (1933–2005). However, there is no verified expert assessment; the attribution is therefore made without warranty.

Ausdrucksstarkes, großformatiges Gemälde mit mehreren stilisierten Gesichtern bzw. Masken in erdigen Farbtönen. Kräftiger pastoser Farbauftrag mit stark strukturierter Oberfläche, möglicherweise unter Beimischung von Sand oder mineralischen Pigmenten. Die Komposition ist typisch für die moderne westafrikanische Malerei der 1960er und 1970er Jahre.

Das Bild wurde nach Familienüberlieferung in den 1970er Jahren in Afrika erworben und nach Deutschland gebracht. Auf dem Rahmen befindet sich der handschriftliche Vermerk „EBRIN ADINGRA“, der auf den ivorischen Künstler Georges Ebrin Adingra (1933–2005) hindeutet. Eine gesicherte Expertise liegt jedoch nicht vor; die Zuschreibung erfolgt daher ohne Gewähr.
