Leica 0 Series (Nullserie), an early 35mm compact camera designed by Oskar Barnack (1923). Image format 24×36 mm on 35mm perforated film. Fixed-mounted, folding Leitz Anastigmat 50mm f/3.5. Focal-plane shutter with speeds around 1/20–1/500 s, manually wound. Rotary knob for film transport, simple optical viewfinder, no rangefinder or light meter. Tripod socket 3/8". A historic model that laid the groundwork for the later Leica I and the 35mm system.
