Porcelain table service, "Mignardisse Carnations" decoration with fine gold, late 19th century
Description:
Fine high-quality porcelain table service. Elegant floral pattern depicting mignard carnations in pink-purple and violet tones, a decoration very popular between 1880 and 1910 in the Lunéville and Badonviller factories. Each piece features scalloped edges outlined by fine gold gilding, with stylized leaf accents typical of the Romantic style of the late 19th or early 20th century.
Composition of the service (34 pieces):
• 8 large flat plates (24 cm)
• 10 large deep plates (24 cm)
• 10 small flat plates (20.5 cm)
• 1 tureen with its matching lid and ornate handles (31.5 cm)
• 1 circular serving platter mounted on a socle (23 cm × 5 cm)
• 1 compote on a pedestal for presenting fruit or confections (24 cm × 12 cm)
• 1 rectangular serving dish (31.5 cm)
• 1 sauce boat with pour spout (26 cm with stand, 19 cm without, 10 cm height)
• 1 relish dish for hors d'oeuvres (23 cm)
Condition:
Very good overall condition. Colors remain vivid and the gilding is generally well preserved.
