A 1999 INCM double commemorative set of two 500 Escudos coins marking the handover of Macau to the People’s Republic of China, comprising a bi-metallic lamellar coin (gold 916.6/1000, 3.1 g; silver 925/1000, 14 g; 30 mm) and a 925/1000 silver coin (14 g; 30 mm); total weight 17.10 g; worldwide mintage 5,000; in pristine uncirculated condition (FDC) in the original blue-velvet wooden presentation box with the Certificate of Authenticity from INCM.

[PT] Lot Description: Superb and rare commemorative double coin set issued by the National Mint and Coinage Press (INCM) in 1999, marking the Transfer of Sovereignty of Macau to the People’s Republic of China. The set consists of two 500 Escudos coins with a PROOF finish:Coin 1 (Bi-metallic Lamellar): Gold of 916.6/1000 (3.1 g) and Silver of 925/1000 (14 g). Total weight: 17.10 g. Diameter: 30 mm.Coin 2: Silver 925/1000. Total weight: 14 g. Diameter: 30 mm.Design (by Paula Lourenço): Obverse with the iconic Governor Nobre de Carvalho Bridge (Macau-Taipa Bridge) and the paving stones pattern. Reverse with a traditional junk boat.Worldwide Mintage Limit: Only 5,000 copies produced.Condition:The coins are in their original issue state (FDC / Fleur de Coin), properly protected in transparent acrylic capsules. Includes the luxurious wooden presentation case lined with blue velvet on the inside and the corresponding INCM Certificate of Guarantee and Authenticity.
