The Olympus Pen EE-S, launched in 1962, is one of the most charming half-frame cameras of Japan's golden age of compact optics, designed by the legendary Yoshihisa Maitani to double your shots to 72 frames on a standard 36-exposure roll. It pairs a bright 4-element D.Zuiko 30mm f/2.8 lens with a fully automatic selenium-cell exposure system that needs no battery at all. Its pocketable, die-cast body made it a favourite travel companion across Japan and Europe throughout the 1960s.
