Description from the seller
This model features a two-head mechanism for ferro-, chrome- and ferrichrome cassettes, with separate bias and equalization adjustment. The deck includes Dolby B noise reduction, a switchable MPX filter, memory stop, a mechanical tape counter, and separate slide controls for the left and right recording levels. The two illuminated level meters and the +4 dB peak indicator display the recording level per channel.
The N2542 has a full auto shut-off, hydraulically damped cassette ejection, a Long Life FSX head, and front-panel headphone and two-microphone connections. The frequency response runs from about 30 Hz to 14 kHz with ferroband, to 16 kHz with chromband, and to 17 kHz with ferrochromeband. The signal-to-noise ratio is up to 63 dB with Dolby B and the wow-and-flutter is specified as 0.15%. The deck measures approximately 38 × 14.3 × 27.1 cm and weighs about 4.9 kg.
