A timeless and historic Swiss wristwatch: the Eterna-Matic, dated to the 1960s. An essential piece for understanding the evolution of modern watchmaking, since Eterna pioneered the use of a five-ball rotor bearing for automatic watches, a milestone so important that it became the official logo of the manufacture.

With its classic 34 mm steel case (the quintessential dress size of the mid-century), it is extremely elegant and well-proportioned. The light-toned dial displays a deep, uniform natural aging patina ("Stardust" or speckling), revealing the authentic passage of decades. Notable are its applied metal indices, the elegant Dauphine hands, and the "T SWISS T" inscription at six o’clock, indicative of the era.

From a collecting standpoint, this unit presents two major attractions: it retains its original crown stamped with the five-point logo and its case is sealed by a sturdy screw-down stainless steel back (with notches for a watchmaker’s key). It is supplied with a textured leather strap (Hirsch brand) in a toasted/camel tone.
