Very refined Empire pendulum clock "The Crowning of Virtue", manufactured circa 1810 in Paris, signed Drouot, Rue du Roule in Paris. This figurative timepiece is executed in fire-gilded bronze and shows an allegorical scene of a ceremony, symbolizing victory or virtue.

The dial is enamelled with Roman numerals and has a finely engraved edge. The base is richly decorated with a classical frieze and trophy ornamentation. An impressive and museum-worthy piece that embodies the grandeur of the French Empire.

Zeer verfijnde Empire pendule “The Crowning of Virtue", vervaardigd circa 1810 in Parijs, gesigneerd Drouot, Rue du Roule à Paris. Dit figurale uurwerk is uitgevoerd in vuurverguld brons en toont een allegorische scène van een ceremonie, symbool voor overwinning of deugd. 

De wijzerplaat is uitgevoerd in email met Romeinse cijfers en heeft een fijn gegraveerde rand. Het basement is rijk gedecoreerd met een klassiek fries en trofee-ornamentiek. Een indrukwekkend en museaal stuk dat de grandeur van het Franse keizerrijk belichaamt.
