Writing table (2) - Walnut, Leather - desk and chair

Splendid Italian Neo-Renaissance studio set dating from the period around the late 19th and early 20th centuries, comprising a refined desk and its coordinated chair model “Fratina.” The furniture is entirely made of solid wood, finely hand-carved with geometric lunette motifs along the edge of the top surface and decorated on the fronts of the drawers with elegant foliate volutes and central medallions. The legs are finely turned baluster-style and connected by a robust H-shaped stretcher, which ensures stability and gives the era’s characteristic solidity to the furnishings. The chair features a high backrest enhanced by carved finials and a leather-upholstered seat, firmly secured with original bronzed metal studs. Thanks to its harmonious, not overly bulky dimensions, this set fits perfectly both classical studies and modern interior contexts as a striking focal piece with great character. The set is presented in generally good conservational condition, showing a beautiful natural patina and small, normal signs of age on the surfaces that attest to its authenticity and history.
