IKEA - Floor lamp - Jelken - Steel

Elegant and distinctive floor lamp from IKEA, model JELKEN, type G0226, characterized by a design that is both essential and functional, typical of Scandinavian modernism.

The lamp features a solid circular base, a slender vertical metal body with chromed elements, and two independent light sources, each equipped with a characteristic dome-shaped diffuser.

One of the most interesting aspects of the JELKEN is its great range of adjustment: the two light heads can be positioned at different heights and the domes are orientable, allowing light to be directed according to one’s needs. It can therefore be used both as ambient lighting and as a reading light.

The contrast between the silver-colored surfaces and the chromed elements gives the lamp a minimalist, industrial, and contemporary aesthetic, now particularly appreciated in the out-of-production IKEA design market.

The specimen preserves the original IKEA label, which lists the model JELKEN, the code TYP G0226, and the specifications 220–240 V, 2 × max 40 W.

Both light points are functional, as documented in the photographs. The lamp is in good overall condition, with normal and slight signs consistent with age and use.

An IKEA model that is now out of production and increasingly rare to find complete, interesting both as a furnishing accessory and for collectors and enthusiasts of early 21st-century IKEA design.
