Description from the seller
PHILIPS Electronic 222 (22GA222) – DC Servo Belt-Drive Turntable, Made in Holland
Vintage fully automatic turntable from Philips’ higher-end consumer line, made in Holland. Belt-driven with DC servo motor control, floating platter and tonearm suspension for shock/vibration isolation, and automatic record-size sensing. Electronic touch controls for Start, Stop, 33, and 45 RPM, with individual pitch adjustment for each speed.
• Fully functional and tested — start/stop, auto-return, both speeds, and pitch controls all working correctly
• Original Philips GP400 (mkII stylus) cartridge fitted
• Smoked dust cover intact, light wear consistent with age, no cracks
• Light-toned plinth in clean cosmetic condition
• 220V/50Hz — plug and play, no converter needed
Features:
• DC servo belt-drive motor
• Floating platter/tonearm suspension (isolates record from shocks and vibration)
• Automatic record-size sensing
• Electronic touch controls: Start, Stop, 33, 45
• Independent pitch control for 33 and 45 RPM
• Cue lever for precise tonearm placement
A well-engineered, higher-tier Philips deck from the era — smooth automatic operation and a more sophisticated suspension design than a typical entry-level belt-drive. Sold as pictured, fully working.
