Schuco - Dancing Gnome with original key - Germany 1920's

A rare and early version of the Schuco gnome. The Gnome has a flock covered tin face, orange mohair pointed hat, white beard, flesh coloured felt hands, green jacket, brown belt and black trousers.

He likely dates from before 1924, with his early black closed feet as they bears no markings. The shaping of the face and the hand-painted eyes also point to an early version.

His clothing, beard, and hat are in very good condition. He is also excellent working and comes with a original Schuco key.
