French porcelain baluster vase in a Japonisant style, dating to 1850–1900, 37.5 cm high, with polychrome and gilded Asian-inspired scenes on a deep blue/black ground and age-related wear including some loss of gilding.

Decorative vase of Japonizing style, with polychrome and gilded decoration
Elegant ceramic vase with a glossy deep blue/black background, baluster shape, adorned with a rich design of Asian-inspired motifs.
The body features several figurative scenes with characters in traditional costumes, accompanied by birds and vegetation. The decoration is enhanced with numerous plant and leafy motifs painted in gold, as well as green and red details. The neck is embellished with a decorative gold element in the shape of a stylized heart and the rim is outlined by a gilded edge.
The lower part is decorated with a register of stylized leaves also highlighted in gold.
Condition: good overall appearance, with patina and signs of wear consistent with age. Presence of wear and occasional loss of gilding, particularly around the base rim, as well as a few small surface marks and scratches.
