Lot 5 Old Austrian folded letters with stamps & seals (ca. 1850–1890).

For this collection of historical letters/folded letters of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy (Austrian Empire / Cisleithania).
Postal history of Austria: 5 folded letters/envelopes of the Classical period with pre-printed stamps, destination towns Lemberg/Prague, and lacquer seals.
Transcription & recipient
Title: Sig. (Signore / Mr.)
Name: A. M. Pollak
Destination: Vienna (lower left note Franco, at top handwritten Raccomandata as well as stamp RECOMMANDIRT with the recom- number 134).
Place of origin: Trieste (TRIESTE, see boxed handstamp and arrival stamp).
Transcription & philatelic description
Item type: Registered folded letter (registered mail) from Trieste to Vienna.
Postage: Austrian issue of 1858/1861 (Emperor Franz Joseph I in relief looking left).
Front: 1x 15 kreuzer (red/pink) as part of the postage.
Back: 2x 5 kreuzer (red) to seal/complete the registered fee, each cancelled with boxed stamp TRIESTE RECOMMANDE.
Stamp on the back:
Blue oval stamp FRANCO TRIESTE.
Rectangular arrival stamp WIEN 30/5 1.E. (1st distribution/order).
Well-preserved red lacquer seal with name/initials (POLLAK / company monogram).
