Created by prominent UK comic artist Rik Rawling, this exact piece served as the cover illustration for the 1995 United Kingdom Comic Art Convention (UKCAC) publication. 

The artwork was purchased directly from Rik Rawling by the present owner at UKCAC in 1995 and has been proudly retained in the same private collection ever since. Proving the enduring significance of this specific composition within his body of work, Rawling recently revisited and produced a brand-new upgraded version of this exact image in 2025. 

Artist Confirmation and Rare Technical Features:
The artwork is accompanied by direct written confirmation from Rik Rawling himself. In his correspondence, the artist identifies this as an original drawing made just as he began work on Streetmeat. He highlights two highly unique technical aspects of this piece: 

* Early Brush Inking: Rawling notes this is a rare, pristine example of his early experimentation with brush inking—a technique he only utilized on a handful of early Streetmeat pages before transitioning to other tools.
* Duotone Background: The distinctive duotone background is another unusual stylistic feature that the artist confirms he used only a few times throughout his career.

Signature and Inscription:
The piece is hand-signed by the artist and inscribed "UKCAC 95". The signature prominently features Rawling's distinctive, nostalgic "smiley-face" motif, which he used from childhood through to the end of his comic-making period in the late 1990s.
