A nineteenth‑century pocket scientific case in wood with a lid decorated in geometric and floral marquetry, containing a brass study microscope and assorted folding tools, all in good condition with age wear.

Superb pocket scientific kit / set from the 19th century.
The case is made of wood and opens with the provided original key, with a lid richly decorated by an elegant geometric and floral marquetry (bone and precious wood inlays).
The interior is lined with red fabric under the lid with its original fittings and is compartmentalized.
Contents of the set (very complete):
• Brass study microscope, detachable (optics, tubes, gripping/slide holder)
• Folding knives/grafting tools with steel blades, including a model with a handle bearing the establishment "Graines & Plantes Rivoire Père & Fils, Lyon"
• Set of 5 original test tubes with their cork stoppers
• Needles, small spatulas, rulers and preparation slides (bone/ivory)
Very good condition for a scientific object of this era. Presence of light signs of use on the marquetry of the case and a patina/ superficial rust on the steel blades, attesting to its authenticity. Key and lock present.
