Stunning antique French inkwell, with a handsome decorative presence, featuring a spectacular central figure depicting an eagle with wings spread, holding a viper, signed MELOTTE on the base.

The sculpture is in patinated spelter with a bronze-like patina, resting on a substantial base of veined green marble. The composition is complemented by two lateral reservoirs in gilded metal with articulated lids.

Superbe ancien encrier français, de belle présence décorative, avec une spectaculaire figure centrale représentant un aigle aux ailes déployées tenant une vipère, signée MELOTTE sur la base.

La sculpture est en régule patiné façon bronze, reposant sur une importante base en marbre vert veiné. La composition est complétée de deux réservoirs latéraux en métal doré avec couvercles articulés.
