Table clock - Schatz - Mid-century modern Brass - 1950-1960

A handsome German Schatz, crafted in a characteristic, richly ornamented brass case with glass panels.

The distinctive slowly rotating pendulum mechanism consists of multiple decorative brass pendulum weights.

Luxuriously decorated brass case, in the form of an oversized travel/desk clock, with glass on all four sides. At the top there is a hinged handle. Gold-colored metal dial with white enamelled sections and Roman numerals, with hour and minute hands. Marked “Schatz.”

Equipped with a battery-powered movement. The clock ran during cataloging.

Note: operation and accuracy have not been tested for a long time.
