Pioneer PD-S 602 CD Player
The Pioneer PD-S505 is a legendary CD player, known for its unique Stable Platter mechanism in which the CD must be placed with the label side down.
The laser then reads the CD from the top. This drastically reduces disc vibrations, which leads to more stable error correction and a very accurate data readout. This mechanism was so effective that high-end audio brands bought it back then for their own expensive CD transports.
