Rolykit, designed in 1973 by Samuel Meijering from the Netherlands.
Dimensions of the large Rolykit are 1.47 m long x 27.5 cm wide
Rolled up: 21 cm in diameter.
The smaller one is 19 cm high, 1.08 m long and 27 cm wide.
The famous Rolykit is made of plastic. It is a revolutionary hexagonal, roll-up storage system. The Rolykit can be unrolled in one go, while the contents in all compartments remain in place.
The secret of the Rolykit is that when unrolling, each storage compartment becomes accessible only when it lies flat on the surface. If you roll the storage compartments back together, the bottom of one compartment becomes the lid of the next.
Meijering, together with Gied Jaspers, sold the rights to the Rolykit for 1 million guilders to producer Van Der Molen. Worldwide, 17 million were sold.
