Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Lubitel 2 twin-lens reflex camera from the 1950–1960 period, in good condition and tested and working.
Description from the seller
Up for auction, a famous and fascinating twin-lens reflex camera: the Lubitel 2, produced in Leningrad; this iconic device adopts the 6x6 cm format on 120 roll film and is distinguished by its very light black Bakelite body and the folding top-viewfinder with an integrated magnifying lens.
Equipped with a 75mm f/4.5 taking lens T-22, the Lubitel 2 is renowned for the characteristic external gear coupling between the viewing lens and the taking lens, allowing simultaneous focusing.
The lot presents in good overall condition and, considering the detailed internal characteristics described below, should be regarded primarily as a splendid display and collectible piece. It comes with its protective black faux-leather hard case with zipper.
Optics: The taking lens T-22 75mm f/4.5 and the upper viewing lens show localized dirt behind the glass elements of the lenses and under the inner viewfinder glazing, as is normal for vintage devices of this era. The knurled outer rings move and the diaphragm responds to adjustments.
Mechanical: Working. The mechanical shutter fires at various speeds and the film-advance mechanism responds to commands, although the device has not been tested with film and is recommended mainly for collectors or hobbyists.
Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The black Bakelite body is beautifully preserved, free from cracks or structural breaks. The front metal plate with the cursive "Lubitel 2" inscription is shiny and perfectly legible. The original black faux-leather case shows slight and normal signs of wear consistent with age, with the zipper intact.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professionally protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
