Decorative ornament (2) - Dolphins - Netherlands

A finely pair (left + right) of 19th century decorative carved oakwood dolphin ornaments, each measuring circa 27cm in height and together weighing 1531g, originally prossibly parts of a cabinet.

The dolphins appear to have been used as candlesticks by the looks of the spike on one of them. However we do not recommend using wooden objects as candlesticks unless there is a metal plate separating the candle from the wood.

Condition: Overal good, a few chips to the fins, no further damages or repairs. Minor wear commensurate with age. See pictures for an overall impression.
