Medieval Beautiful cross.Excellent condition. (No reserve price)

Beautiful bronze medieval Body Cross. Medieval Period 9th - 11th C A.D. Obverse: At the center of the composition, on the center of the cross, is a deep, raised diamond with a distinct depression. From this "heart" of the cross, arms radiate, decorated with a complex, tactile ornament reminiscent of intertwined cords or a stylized floral pattern. This ornament is more than just a decorative element; it symbolizes the Heavenly Tree of Life, the Path of Salvation, and Eternity, woven into a single sacred knot. The shape of the arms of the cross—widening toward the tips—imparts a special stability and solemnity. The upper arm culminates in a massive, solid-cast hanging loop that has retained its original shape and strength. Reverse: The smooth, even surface of the reverse side bears traces of natural wear from years of contact with clothing or the wearer's body. This "soft" relief tells a story of faith and devotion, carried through the ages. A noble, deep patina covers this side in an even layer, emphasizing the venerable age of the artifact. Such crosses were more than just decorations; they were powerful amulets and visible symbols of faith that medieval men wore on their chests throughout their lives. The metal is strong.Signs of wear consistent with age and use. Wearable. 100% original. The amulet comes with a faux leather jewelry cord. Look at many photos for your own impression.100% original. Material: Bronze. Size : 26 x 21 mm. Weight: 1.60 grams. The item was purchased in 2015 in Barcelona, Spain from G.A. as part of a private Spanish collection dating back to the 1980s.
