619 AR - Military miniature figurine - Silver

Splendid miniature cannon entirely made in 800 silver, with clearly visible official stamps: “800” (silver fineness) and “619 AR”, identifying mark of a artisanal workshop registered with the Chamber of Commerce of Arezzo, an important Italian jewelry district.
This exceptionally crafted miniature reproduces in scale a Prussian field cannon, presumably inspired by a historical model produced by Krupp in the second half of the nineteenth century. The structure and the presence of a rear breech with kneebl lever make it a refined reproduction of the famous recoil artillery pieces in use between the late 1800s and World War I.
