The reverse features the denomination within an open crown formed by laurel and oak branches, joined by a ribbon at the bottom, while the obverse shows the majestic crowned double-headed eagle of the Russian Empire, with scepter and orb, surrounded by the imperial legend. The design, of a heraldic character, reflects the solemnity of the emissions of Tsarist Russia in the late years preceding World War I and the fall of the Romanov dynasty. This specimen preserves an attractive uniform brown patina (Brown), with original luster partially visible, crisp reliefs and clean fields, presenting only very light contact marks consistent with the excellent MS64 BN grade awarded by NGC.
