Decorative ornament - Unknown

Two silver miniatures: a stringed instrument probably from Italy, and a miniature scene that resembles a pillory from everyday life in the 17th/18th century.
The stringed instrument is clearly marked; on the scene it is hard to find a mark, but it has been tested for silver.
Two fine, gift-worthy collector's items; both are finely decorated and in good used condition
