[Famille Talleyrand] - Ensemble de trois manuscrits - 1815

Together around Talleyrand and his family comprising:

- A permanent leave of absence granted in Orléans on June 10, 1816 and signed by Baron Alexandre-Daniel de Talleyrand-Périgord, granted to the gunner Louis Sauger due to a “loss of all teeth in the upper jaw.” Defects and creases along the margins.

- A handwritten letter signed in Paris on January 2, 1819 by the Duke Archambaud de Talleyrand-Périgord, younger brother of the famous Talleyrand, requesting the reinstatement of a position for a man who “experiences an injustice whose sole motive is that you are unknown to him.”

- Curious manuscript. One can read: “Moniteur of May 17, 1839 in which lies the motion of Monsieur le Prince de Talleyrand, read by Monsieur Mignet [François-Auguste Mignet (1796-1884)] at the session of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences on May 11, 1839. This piece is all the more curious as it is annotated by the very hand of Monsieur le Comte [Thibaudeau?].

This text comments on notes written in two hands evoking certain historical events from the Revolution to the Second Republic.

Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord was a member of the Class of Moral and Political Sciences from 1795.

On the back, there is a handwritten extract from Barère de Vieuzac’s memoirs on Talleyrand’s nomination to the London Embassy.
