AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Elegant Chaise Longue / Plantation-style Colonial Style Tumbona
Spectacular chaise longue with ergonomic, sinuous lines, faithfully inspired by the classic designs of the East Indies plantations. It is a piece of great presence and high artisan quality, ideal for high-end interior design projects, colonial, transitional, or global-style environments.
Materials: Sturdy solid wood frame of excellent grain and density. Seat and backrest fully upholstered in thick saddle leather in a toasted brown tone, secured perimetrically with aged brass studs and finished with hand-made braided leather stitching.
Dimensions: 190 cm (length) x 64 cm (width) x 50 cm (height).
Estimated weight: 30-50 kg.
Period: Second half of the 20th century.
Condition: Good overall condition with the usual signs of age and use. The wood and frame are firm and solid. The leather shows a beautiful natural patina and organic aging. As the only defect to note, there is a small superficial tear in the shape of a crescent on the top of the headrest, (see close-up photos in the gallery), which does not affect the upholstery’s firmness or its use. The wood shows no signs of woodworm or weakness.
An exclusive piece that combines ergonomic comfort, the warmth of noble materials, and a timeless exotic aesthetic.
