Large antique printing cabinet – Unique wall composition – Patinated wood – 130 cm
Description
Magnificent large-format wall sculpture made from two antique wooden printing cabinets, joined to create an original and unique decorative piece.
With a height of about 130 cm, the piece has a striking presence. The numerous compartments, varying in size and proportion, form an irregular, graphic pattern that is particularly decorative.
The wood has a beautiful antique patina, with many warm nuances and traces of time that have deliberately been preserved. The piece thus retains all the character of old printing furniture and equipment.
The two cabinets have been carefully and solidly assembled to form a single large piece. The back has been reinforced and clad with wooden boards, providing rigidity and a finished look to the whole.
A wall-mounting attachment is provided.
This creation can be used as wall decoration, but also as a display piece for small collections, miniatures, curiosities, or decorative objects.
A singular piece, halfway between antique workshop furniture, industrial decor, and contemporary wall art. Each compartment and every irregularity of the patina tell of its former use and make the whole piece unique.
