The Porsche 356 is the brand's first production model, marking the beginning of its automotive legend in 1948. Inspired by the Volkswagen Beetle, but with an improved chassis and an aerodynamic body, it was Ferry Porsche's vision. With an air-cooled, horizontally opposed flat-four engine in the rear, its sleek design and lightness offered nimble handling.
