A fine and large authentic mummiform terracotta shabti. The figure retains visible white and black traces of its original gesso coating.

Dating to the New Kingdom period, specifically the late 19th Dynasty (circa 1190 BC).

Shabtis were placed in tombs to serve the deceased in the afterlife, making them both historically significant and culturally symbolic objects.

Period: New Kingdom – Late 19th Dynasty, circa 1190 BC
Material: Terracotta with gesso remnants and black pigment
Dimensions: 16 cm x 4 cm x 2 cm
Provenance: Ex Dutch Private Collection
Condition: Break at the knees, restored, otherwise well preserved with visible original surface details
