B. Morah, Bosque Ingrávido 142 XL (No Reserve), acrylic on canvas, 100 x 75 cm, signed on the back, original edition, 2026, a Magritte-inspired surreal landscape featuring floating trees; unframed and shipped rolled with an original Certificate of Authenticity.
Description from the seller
BOSQUE INGRÁVIDO 142 is part of a series inspired by Magritte and contemporary surrealism.
This work is part of a series that sublimates the natural and the impossible in a single vision. In “Weightless Forest,” the trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that ties them to the ground. The landscape becomes the setting for the improbable: a forest that is not sustained by the laws of physics, but by the rules of imagination.
The reference to Magritte is not casual: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the everyday becomes strange, and the impossible, evident. The trees suspended in the air force us to rethink the concept of the organic and the stable, while the chromatic play — with electric blues, glowing reds and deep shadows — intensifies the dreamlike atmosphere.
This series poses essential questions: What happens when we take the weight off nature? Can weightlessness reveal another dimension of the landscape, one more emotional than physical? “Weightless Forest” is both a metaphor and a provocation, a visual liberation act that defies logic to reveal a new poetic space.
“Weightless Forest” in itself evokes a powerful image: floating trees that challenge not only physics, but also our perception of what a forest should be.
