Ancient Egyptian faience amulet of Anubis, about 1.6 cm long and weighing 4 g, dating to 700–400 BC (Ptolemaic period), in used condition with signs of wear.

Magnificent amulet of the god Anubis
- Anubis, the jackal-headed god, oversaw the embalming process. He also bore the epithet "lord of the hallowed ground," meaning protector of the necropolis. Anubis had a significant role in the judgment of the dead when he supervised the weighing of the heart for Osiris.
