Vase - Ceramic - Liberty style - 20th century

Large decorative vase in polychrome glazed artistic ceramic, with an original and strongly naturalistic form.
The polychrome glazed ceramic vase features rich decoration made with applied and modelled relief elements. Several lizards/geckos are depicted on the neck, while the body is decorated with branches, leaves and vegetal motifs, as well as bird figures.
The decoration is characterised by a vivid combination of glazes in shades of blue, green, yellow, ochre and brown, with colour variations and a glossy finish.
The overall design has a distinctive naturalistic and decorative character reminiscent of the Art Nouveau / Liberty style.
Period: 20th century, probably first half of the 20th century.
Condition: Good overall condition. There are normal signs of age and small irregularities consistent with the handmade nature and age of the object. There is a small visible crack on the upper rim of the neck and a very small chip.
