This official, older model was produced before Rosendahl Copenhagen took over production, according to Kay Bojesen’s original drawings (1934), with the characteristic playful look fully preserved.

The streamlined body, the nicely rounded shapes and the friendly expression make this Teckel a timeless decorative object that fits in any interior. Made of oiled teak wood with subtle color and grain variations that make each piece unique. The underside is stamped with the official Kay Bojesen Denmark stamp, underlining authenticity.

1. This is characteristic of teckels (circa late 1990s)

2. Later pieces often have: a tighter laser- or brandstamp or a different positioning

3. Wood and finish
- Dark, aged patina with visible oxidation
- No modern oil shine
- Slightly varying wood grain → hand-finished
- Loose wooden dowel joints (no screws or modern glue traces)

4. Construction
- The legs with dowel-and-hole joints and visible drilled holes are correct for early production. The head and body have the slightly more robust, less stylized shape of the first generations.

Dating (realistic): circa 1951–1960
This falls in the period when Kay Bojesen still largely produced his wooden animals by hand.
