Beautiful and decorative set of two original Stiffel table lamps, made of brass-colored metal and complete with the accompanying original lampshades.
The lamp bases have the characteristic classic Stiffel design with a heavy, richly moulded foot and fluted column. Particularly striking are the original cylindrical shades in green/gold tones, featuring detailed Asian/Japanese-inspired scenes with figures, horses, and warriors. When the lamps are lit, the shades illuminate with a warm glow and the images become even more attractive.
On the attachment of the shade, the name “STIFFEL” is clearly marked, as shown in the detail photos.
Both lamps are photographed while working and form a very atmospheric and symmetrical pair. Beautiful as a focal point on two side tables, a chest of drawers, or on either side of a bed or sofa.
The lamps are in nice vintage condition with age and use marks. The brass shows patina/discoloration in several places, appropriate to the age and authentic character. The original shades also show normal signs of aging. Please review the photos carefully; they are an integral part of the description.
