Paillard Bolex B8 (Double 8mm) – Custom Edition "Cinéma Amateur et Expérimental" with Kern-Paillard & P. Angénieux Lenses – Working

ITEM DESCRIPTION
We are offering at auction a unique and exclusive piece for collectors and lovers of vintage cinema: a Swiss Paillard Bolex B8 camera (8mm / Double 8 format), mechanically tested and functioning, without a film test, redesigned with a high-end artistic finish (Custom Leatherette).

Technical Specifications & Components
Brand / Model: Paillard-Bolex B8 (Made in Switzerland)
Serial Number: 645869
Film Format: Standard 8 / Double 8 mm
Mechanism: Mechanically wound spring drive, smooth and precise, tested and functioning at various speeds (up to 64 fps for slow-motion).
Optical Turret: Dual-lens rotating turret (Turret system).
Lenses Included:
- Kern-Paillard Yvar 12.5mm f/2.8 AR (standard focal length, exceptionally sharp original Swiss optic).

Viewfinder: Integrated multi-focus viewfinder with Paillard B8 mask.
Case/Body: Glossy metal in good cosmetic condition, without significant dents.

Customization & Design Style (Custom Leatherette)
The original leather covering has been replaced with a high-strength technical material, decorated with a custom graphic theme inspired by avant-garde cinema:
Graphic Theme: "Cinéma Amateur et Expérimental - Constructivisme Filmique - Suisse, 1950s".
Style: Geometric, constructivist design combining color compositions (red, blue, yellow, green), perforated film frames and period visual elements.
Finish: Precise application with wear-resistant technical material, giving the camera a strong scenographic impact and transforming it into a true work of art and display piece (Design / Pop Art / Vintage Cinema).

Functional and Aesthetic Conditions
Mechanical: Excellent. The spring winds correctly, the motor spins smoothly and steadily at all adjustable speeds.
Optics: Lenses clean, diaphragm and focus rings operate smoothly.
Aesthetics: As shown in the detailed photos. The custom wrap fits perfectly to the camera body while keeping all manual controls, counters and adjustment rings accessible.
