Description from the seller

Classic mantel clock or shelf clock (pendulum) produced by the famous German manufactory Junghans, late 19th to early 20th century. It is distinguished by a rich wooden case in Neo-Renaissance style, enriched by a top crest depicting a carved female face. Classic side columns and a dial with Roman numerals. Manufacturer: Junghans (Germany) Estimated era: circa 1890-1900 Style/Material: Neo-Renaissance. As is typical in late 19th-century clockmaking, the visible outer case is in fine walnut, while the hidden internal structural parts or the back panel were sometimes made in softer woods (such as pine or fir) to lighten the structure and reduce wood tensions. Mechanical pendulum movement, brass mechanism.
