PLASSCHAERT FRERES Pigeon inspector - Brass - 1930-1940

Very rare PLASSCHAERT FRERES WACHTEBEKE BELGIUM, No.17036 Patent A.PLASSCHAERT S.G.D.G.; very beautiful and very precise mechanism in excellent condition (see all the photos), the roll of paper inside the device is original! This measuring device was used during typical pigeon contests in Belgium at that time! It could give the exact arrival time of the pigeon, to the minute and to the second when its arrival was recorded (see photos of the round “frame”)! This record was then printed on paper inside the device, in order to prevent any dispute! I don’t know if it still works because there is a small printing part that is “loose” (see photos), and I don’t know where it comes from! WARNING, to open the case, you must first move the hook to the right of the case, and then press the metal rod so that it sticks out fully to the left of this case (see photos 15 to 20) The case is made of solid oak, and measures 20/ 19/ 16 cm in height (not including the leather handle)
