Candleholder - Gilt bronze - Heavy altar candlestick - 54 cm

Impressive, very heavily crafted bronze altar candlestick with a stately and monumental appearance. The candlestick is fully finished in a warm gold-colored bronze finish and has a richly profiled, classically built form.

The wide base consists of multiple concentric, beautifully turned profiles and rests on decorative feet, provided with ornamental details. From the base a long, elegant shaft rises upward, interrupted by several profiled rings and enlargements. The whole is crowned by a generous candle holder with a wide drip plate and a characteristic pointed crown.

Due to its substantial size, considerable weight and rich detailing, this is a particularly decorative piece that fits excellently as a church or liturgical object, but also as a striking interior piece in a classical, country, or eclectic interior.
