Suggestive Venetian view characterized by a tranquil urban atmosphere, with a canal crossed by a small stone bridge and several boats moored along the banks.

The composition is built through the perspective of the canal, which leads the eye toward the back of the scene among the typical Venetian architectures. Particularly pleasing is the color contrast between the blue-green water and the façades of the buildings in warm tones of ochre, red, and brick.

The painting presents a simple and immediate brushwork, with particular attention to the geometries of the buildings, the bridge, and the reflections on the water, yielding a pleasant interpretation of a more intimate and everyday Venice.

The work is presented within a significant, richly crafted gold frame, well proportioned to the painting and able to further enhance its composition.

The photographs were also taken under a spot light to best show colors, details, and the painterly surface.

The artwork bears normal signs and flaws compatible with its age and history.

The frame is considered a courtesy and therefore will not be counted in the lot in case of any damage during transport.
