Russian Teke Caucasian rug, model Teke Ruso, handmade with wool on cotton, measuring 340 × 247 cm, in very good condition.
Description from the seller
We present an exclusive Caucasian Teke rug of Russian origin, an antique piece of very high quality, handmade entirely from fine wool on cotton. Made between 1950 and 1960, this rug stands out for its elegant traditional geometric design with the characteristic oval medallions typical of the Teke and for the extraordinary quality of its fine, silky, and shiny wool.
The rug features the characteristic Caucasian double border, highly valued in the old rugs from this region. Its deep red color combined with the classic geometric patterns creates a highly decorative, warm, and elegant piece, typical of authentic Caucasian rugs of Russian origin.
The wool has a fine, silky touch, with natural shine and high-quality, elegant pile. A very fine and decorative rug, representative of Russian-Caucasian traditional craftsmanship.
It is in very good condition for its age. It shows only a small defect of approximately 2 cm on one of the edges, visible in the photographs. Otherwise, the rug perfectly preserves its structure and original colors. It only needs a light cleaning to remove dust and refresh the colors even more.
