Fascinating pair of zoomorphic containers (or small boxes) in the shape of a wild duck, made of tin-glazed ceramic (maiolica) entirely molded and hand-decorated.
The original manufactory is the famous and ancient Barettoni (formerly Antonibon) located in Nove di Bassano, heir and continuator of one of the most prestigious ceramic traditions of the Republic of Venice.
These iconic collectible objects feature a mid-horizontal opening that separates the lid from the main body, echoing the historic eighteenth-century tradition of serviceware and elegant pâté containers.
The painted decoration is executed freehand in polychrome with rich shades of brown, green, white and blue, finished with a glossy protective glaze that gives great vibrancy and luminosity to the colors.
A decorative set with great character, ideal both as a refined interior decor accessory for kitchens and dining rooms, and as a collectible piece for lovers of Italian artistic maiolica.
