Rare and impressive pair of Kenwood KL-5050D speakers, manufactured in Japan around 1976.

Representative of the golden age of Japanese hi-fi, these passive speakers feature a 3-way, 5-driver configuration, a bass-reflex enclosure, and a selector allowing adjustments to the high-frequency level.

Both speakers have been tested and are in perfect working condition. All drivers as well as the selectors operate correctly. Their walnut-finish, large dimensions and their remarkable original Kenwood decorative grilles give them a particularly warm and authentic presence.

Condition and authenticity

These speakers are about 50 years old. Their wear is therefore consistent with their era and speaks to their history. The cabinets show some signs of use, marks and small aesthetic imperfections, notably on the rear panels and certain edges. These marks are normal for vintage gear of this age. Photographs are an integral part of the description and allow precise assessment of their condition.

No aesthetic restoration has been deliberately performed. The original patina has been fully preserved to allow the future owner the choice to keep these jewels in their current state or undertake a restoration according to their own tastes.

The original Kenwood decorative grilles are present and included in the sale.
