Description from the seller
For sale: an elegant and scenographic Bergère armchair in the Louis XV style, with a shaped solid wood frame finely carved.
The chair features a tall enveloping back, refined carved crest, characteristic scroll arms, and cabriole legs.
Particularly beautiful is the tapestry upholstery with rich polychrome floral compositions, which gives the chair great elegance and decorative presence.
From its construction features, the piece is presumably datable to the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century.
The base presents a traditional upholstery structure with straps and coil springs.
Ideal for living rooms, studies, villas, historic houses, boutiques, hotels or as an important decorative element.
The chair shows normal signs and patina due to age. There is a crack in the front area of the frame, visible in the photographs, for which consolidation work is recommended.
