For sale is an absolute milestone of Italian lighting design: the legendary desk lamp “Tizio” (Model 50), designed in 1972 by Richard Sapper for Artemide (Milan, Made in Italy). This is the especially rare and highly sought-after early original version from the period 1978–1984 in white. As an authentic model from this era, it left the factory without the later protective glass and without the adjustment rod on the head. Power is delivered in a groundbreaking wireless manner directly via the articulated arms, which remain perfectly balanced in every position thanks to the distinctive red counterweights.

Condition and patina (Please note):
The lamp is in an honest, unrestored vintage condition with signs of use that emphasize its authentic character:
Finish: At the edges of the lower counterweight, the heat-related tiny bubbles typical of the early white halogen series have formed in the paint (caused by the heat of the built-in transformer during longer operation).
Color: The white plastic and paint have developed a uniform, slight yellowing over the decades due to sunlight exposure (beautiful vintage patina, not a bright new white).
Technology: The joints maintain perfect balance. The electronics are fully functional. Equipped with the original white factory cable and European plug.
