Dismantling and transport at the buyer's expense
Item located in Olgiate Molgora, Province of Lecco
Antique chest of drawers dating from the second half of the nineteenth century, characterized by a sober style linked to the Luigi Filippo period or Late Empire.
Main features:
* Upper surface: Marble slab in white Carrara veined marble, a classic element commonly found in Italian and French nineteenth-century chests of drawers to protect the wood beneath.
* Structure: Three linear drawers with knob handles in metal or wood and central keyholes for the locks.
* Wood: Dark, warm-toned timber, presumably walnut, very popular in furniture production of the era.
* Base: Frontally supported by turned feet (also called "onion" or "rocchetto" feet), a constructive detail typical of the Central-Northern Italian craft tradition (such as the Lombard or Tuscan chest).
