Two-piece set consisting of a 950/1000 vermeil silver chalice and a paten, made in France by Villard & Fabre (1901–1973) in an antique Gothic style, with cup diameter 100 mm, height 220 mm, depth 140 mm, total gross weight 999.25 g, origin Lyon, in unused condition with minor oxidation traces.

Sterling silver chalice 950/1000 with a Neo-Roman decorative motif
Cup entirely chased with scenes of the Passion on a background of geometric motifs
Grip knot with a decoration of acanthus leaves, palmettes and interlaced scales chased, and medallions in the round
Polylobed foot decorated with geometric friezes and topped with scenes from the life of Christ: the Annunciation, the Nativity and the Baptism
Accompanied by its paten decorated with the Last Supper, entirely chased, and its transport box
The chalice shows a few small traces of oxidation; otherwise it is in mint condition, no defects to report
Mer-Cury mark first title, hare and master’s mark
Gross weight of the chalice: 807.34 g
Gross weight of the paten: 191.89 g
Gross total weight: 999.25 g
